Long have I heard the salty tales of woe that there aren’t very many attractive armors for men because all people care about is making skimpy armor for female characters. Today I set the record straight: There are plenty of great armors for male characters, and I’ve listed a large assortment of them here for you to enjoy. From kilts to chainmail to robes to trenchcoats to silver plate, if you're looking for a nice set of light armor for a guy you should be able to find something that pleases you on this list.A few changes of note from the other armor and clothing lists I’ve posted:. No more vanilla armor replacers. Aside from a few outstanding exceptions in the Armor Packs section, every mod linked here is a standalone or a retexture variant for a standalone mod.

Much less low-res stuff. By popular demand I’ve opted to omit most of the lower-res stuff and focus on armor that has great quality. Much fewer recolors and minor retextures (for the most part). These lists are meant to spotlight new and interesting armor, so the armors listed here are generally unique in some way, aside from a few recolors/retextures that I thought were particularly creative or difficult to search for.

If you need silver Elven, gold Ebony, red Blades, purple glass, green Nightingale, skirts replaced with pants, etc. They are easily searchable on the Nexus. Speaking of Nexus I will no longer be linking Steam Workshop mods, for reasons that range from frustration over the utter chaos of their website to their appalling handling of the paid mod system. Pictures! I tried to select pictures that best showed off the male versions of these armors, but not every author has decent photos posted, so don't judge me.

I realize that picture links should have been a feature built into all of my apparel mod lists from the start, but better late than never, right? You’re welcome. And with that, let’s roll that beautiful armor footage for all you underdressed menfolk. As always, make sure to endorse the mods you like, donate to the authors you love, and offer polite feedback where appropriate. Quest to obtain certain armor - see mod description.Adds 5 sets of leather and reinforced leather Bosmer-themed armor, as well as capes, cloaks, and weapons. The design on these is very unique and appealing - brown carved leather in a herringbone pattern with black accents. Each version has enough variety to differentiate them, but enough in common with the other pieces to work together nicely.

I also really like the antler-handled weapons that come with this pack.Craftable at the forge under various categories.Adds 9 inspired mashup armors to the game geared towards the rough and tumble sellsword and bandit crowd. Like most of this author’s other work these armors tend towards the dark and utilitarian.Craftable at the forge and tanning rack and added to leveled lists.A large pack of dark armor and clothing designed to fit in with Skyrim’s bleak and cold atmosphere. Very good stuff drawn from a variety of modder’s resources. For the purpose of this list, I’ve included just a few pics of some armors in the pack.Craftable at the forge. This mod adds 11 knight-themed armors to the game. Patterns vary, but for the most part the design is tabard over chainmail. In addition to the armors the mod adds a few weapons and apparently adds actual fortress towns for the knights to live. Sadly, there are no pictures in mod description that indicate where those fortresses are, so you do need to check out the user comments for more information.Craftable at the forge.

Armors are a moulded breastplate, kirtle, and crested helm.Craftable at the forge under various categories. This is a huge armor mod with MCM configuration, At well over 145,000 endorsements it’s safe to say it’s probably the most popular armor mod out there. It offers dozens of armors with a large variety of themes which can be crafted and are also part of NPC and loot leveled lists. A fantastic armor package with a lot to offer pretty much any character.Craftable at the forge under various categories and added to NPC leveled lists.Adds 7 new armors to the game that are hybrids of vanilla armor resources.

As suggested by the name, these are very lore friendly and mix seamlessly with the armor already in the game.Craftable at the forge under various categories. This adds 3 new armors to the game. The Bards Armor, my favorite of the pack, is a colorful Witcher-styled pirate/troubadour set with a rakish feathered hat. The Shaman Robes is a long green kilt with leather boots and gloves, a fur mantle, and a bear head helm. The Falmer Mage mixes the ancient falmer armor with master College robes and a hood, softening up the look of the armor considerably for a rather striking armored mage look.(no male pics, sorry)Craftable at the forge.A collection of the 6 light armors offered in the author’s other mod packs. These are all dark brown/black and come in a variety of padded, chain, and cloth armor outfits. These are used as base resources for many of the clothing and armor in the Common Clothes mod, so if you like those, you should check these out, too, and vice versa.Craftable at the forge under various categories.Exquisite Lord of the Rings-themed Elven armor based in the same concept as the Bosmer Armor above.

Same herringbone pattern, but these armors incorporate metal, elaborate shields, and blue and crimson textiles. Absolutely stunning.Craftable at the forge.I know I said “no replacers”, but I would be truly remiss to not include this absolutely brilliant Imperial armor overhaul. These retextures cover everything from the Imperial Light Armor to the armor of Tullius himself, and they are truly inspired, making the Imperial Legion look badass and worthy of respect. Craftable at the forge under the Steel category. This one merges the grey Dawnguard armor with a chainmail tunic, chain boots and gloves, plate knees, and a retextured gray leather hood.Craftable at the forge under the Daedric category. This is a more sleek and stripped down daedric-themed armor that successfully merges the red/black glowing plated look with chainmail for a deadly and intimidating appearance that lacks the ostentatious bulkiness of vanilla daedric armor. Set is highly-detailed and contains 5 pieces, including a cape.Craftable at the forge under the Daedric category.

Special crafting rules apply - see mod description. An interesting magic user-oriented set that applies the intimidating appearance of daedric armor with College robes, with the result being a regal and rather scary looking robe set. Detail in this is very good, and the hood with the metal mask and glowing red eyes really amps up the sinister factor. The only weak point of the armor is the boots, which look like the regular College boots with a bit of red. I’d suggest swapping them out for vampire boots.

Otherwise this is quite nice if you are going for the daedric Darth Vader look.Craftable at the forge under Leather category. This mod offers standalone craftable retextured versions of the vampire armor from the Dawnguard DLC, including gold-trimmed boots and articulated gloves. There are several variants here, but of particular interest is the black/violet/silver combination, which I think looks quite nice.Located in a chest near a firepit in Fallowstone Cave.Offers 2 male and 1 female armor sets. The male armors are the Vampire Hunter and the Witch Hunter. The Vampire Hunter is an all black leather pantsuit with Celtic cross designs at the shoulders and back and tons of silver details. The Witch Hunter is a finely-detailed long dark brown leather jacket with steel plate pauldrons over a crimson leather pantsuit.Craftable at the forge.Surprisingly, this plate set is categorized as light leather. Odd choice, in my opinion, but here it is. The author has done a great job of reproducing Tyrael’s armor from the High Heavens, including optional streaming light that represents angel wings in that game.

The armor looks great, but please note that the wings occupy the shield slot when equipped, so equipping a shield or 2-handed weapons will automatically unequip the wings. Looking for a different texture and a fix for the wings? The standalone mod adds a texture variant and switches the wings to a ring slot.Craftable at the forge.A nice looking black and gold plate set with gemstones inlaid at the chest and (optional) shoulders.

Credits and distribution permission. Other user's assets Some assets in this file belong to other authors. No Performance impact! (Since the texture files are the same size as original). Updated with the Creation Kit!This mod does two things. You can choose one or both:1) Daedric Blue Light Armor includes an esp that lets you craft and upgrade Daedric Light Armor (with the Daedric Smithing perk).

The Daedric Light armor is blue and glows blue. It is made at a forge and uses the same recipe as vanilla Daedric, but uses Malachite ingots instead of Ebony Ingots. It has the stats of Dragonplate Armor, but around half the weight.2) Daedric Blue Replacer replaces the default Daedric armor with a Blue variant that features a blue glow.3) (Optional) If you miss that more purple tinge that was the original replacer, you can download that too.I made this mod for use in my mod In it is a light armor variant of Daedric with a unique recipe involving quest items, but when I made it I thought it was too cool to sit on until release, so I released it as my first mod on the Nexus. I released it as a simple replacer and/or craftable light armor, about five months before came out. Enjoy! To grab the that goes along with these weapons, check it outFinally, if you find what appears to be a problem with the mod (that isn't listed in the bug section), please let me know so I can correct it!Thank you!The Original Color requires one of the main files.
